How To Add Bots To Your Dedicated Server

In order to add bots to your Counter Strike 1.6 dedicated server you will have to do this :

1. Download here the podbot arhive and unzippe it.
2. Copy the podbot folder into HLDScstrikeaddons - HLDS is the main directory of your server .
3. Open HLDScstrikeaddonsmetamodplugins.ini and add this line under those who already are there :
win 32 addonspodbotpodbot_mm.dll

If you want to change bots number open HLDScstrikeaddonspodbotpodbot.cfg and edit the lines:
pb_minbots 3
pb_maxbots 12

One of the Podbot problems is the lack of bot waypoints for new, custom maps. So, we provide you a little help on that. How To Delete Game Saves Off a PS1 Memory Card

A memory card can be inserted into a ps1 gaming console to save game progress you have made in games you play on the console. However, the ps1 memory card can get full up and have no free storage blocks for more game saves to be saved onto the ps1 memory card, so you will need to delete the saves that you no longer use or need. 

Instructions:

1)Make sure the psone console is powered off, then insert the memory card you want to delete game saves off into a free slot on the ps1 console. The memory card slot will be seen on the front of the console, it will be a flap that will say "Memory Card" on it.

2)Once you have inserted the memory card into the console, press the "Eject" button down, then the disc flap will open, if it has a game disc inside it, then remove it from the console and place it in a plastic sleeve, to prevent it getting scratched and dusty. Then close the flap.

3)Turn on the Playstation 1 console on, this is by pressing down the "Power" button, then select "Memory Card" from the main menu that will come up on the TV screen. All the game save data files that are stored on the psone memory card will be shown on screen. Use the d-pad to select which game save you want to erase, then press the "X" button on the controller and select the "Delete" option, repeat this for all of the saves you want to delete and remove, to free up space.

How To Properly Use The Squelch Control On a CB Radio

What does squelch do?

All CB radio manufacturers include a squelch control circuit, with an adjust knob so you can block out any background interface or static on channels. The squelch control knob has to be adjusted correctly, in order to filter out the interference, without filtering out other people using the channel. This can happen, if you dont properly adjust the squelch control and just turn it all the way up. 

1) Locate the squelch control knob on your CB radio. Most CB radios made by Cobra or Superstar, will have it placed behind the Volume Control button. It should be easy to find, it will be labeled as Squelch Control above the knob. If you have any problems, please refer to the user manual for accurate directions.

2) Go to a channel that you want to try this feature on. Rotate the squelch knob counter clockwise, stop rotating it until you no longer hear any background noise/interference from speaker. Leave the squelch control alone once adjusted right, there is no need to decrease or increase it, unless background noise becomes more apparent.

3) Readjust the squelch control on the CB radio every time you change onto a different channel. This is because some channels will have more background noise than others, due to weather conditions and other obstructions.

How To Replace Dreamcast VMU Screen Dead Battery

The Sega Dreamcast console has an optional VMU read out screen that you can insert into your controller. The VMU unit has an small screen that some games use to display certain information that is game related. The VMU operates on a small circular shaped 3 volt CR2032 battery, which is easily replaceable. This type of battery is known for providing poor battery life with the VMU cartridge. If you notice that your Dreamcast makes beeping sounds when powering on, it is telling you to change the dead battery.

1) Look at the back of your VMU cartridge. You will see a small sized plastic cover with a small Philips head screw inserted into it. Underneath this plastic cover is the batterys location. Using a Philips head screwdriver, unscrew the small Philips head screw. Place the screw into a small container to prevent it getting misplaced later on.

2) Now remove the plastic cover away from the VMU device. Then tap the VMU onto your hand, the battery will pop out itself. If the battery struggles to come out, use a Flat head screwdriver to help pry it out from its housing.

3) Remove your new replacement battery from its packaging. Then with the writing side facing up, place it directly into the battery holder. Ensure that you insert the battery the correct way in, if it is in the wrong way it wont work.

4) Replace the plastic cover back onto the VMU cartridge and reinsert the tiny Philips head screw. Then use your Philips head screwdriver to tighten it up. Make sure you dont tighten the screw too tight because it will cause problems later on when the battery becomes dead again.

How To Fix Replace PSP 1000 Broken Analog Stick Joystick

If the analog stick on your PSP 1000 console is sticking, it can make it extremely difficult to use it to play games because it wont move freely, as its stuck down. The reason why the joystick is sticking is because the internal mechanism, as well as the rubber contact that the stick operates on has become worn out, due to extensive use. The only way you can fix this problem is by replacing the current broken analog stick with a brand new replacement stick. Make sure you use a replacement part that is genuine made from Sony because cheap Chinese copies from Ebay are usually cheaper, but they dont last as long and break more easily. To perform this repair, it will involve you to disassemble your PSP console, so you will require a small sized Philips screwdriver and some basic knowledge on how to repair electronics. Also bear in mind that performing this repair on your PSP 1000 console will void the warranty with Sony.

1) First of all, you will need to remove the front faceplate from your PSP console to access the analog stick. So turn your PSP console upside down, so that the screen and buttons are facing downwards. Then remove the battery cover/lid and remove the battery pack that is inserted into the console. On the back of the PSP, you will see 2 screws, 2 more screws underneath where battery pack goes into and 1 last screw at the bottom of the PSP console, in the middle of the silver bit of plastic that goes around the console, next to a bar code sticker. So using a small sized Philips head screwdriver, individually unscrew all 5 screws.

2) Turn the console around, grab the front faceplate of the PSP console and pull it upwards. Once removed, turn faceplate upside down, you will see the analog stick mechanism, it will have two small screws holding it onto the plastic. So get your small sized Philips screwdriver and unscrew both screws.

3) The old analog stick will now pop off by itself. So get your new replacement analog stick and insert it back into the faceplate the correct way. Then replace the two screws you removed earlier on, this is to secure it down. Once you have done that, reattach the faceplate back onto the front of the PSP console.

4) Turn the console upside down again and insert all the screws removed into their screw holes. Then using your small sized Philips head screwdriver, screw all 5 screws tight. Then reinsert the battery pack back into the PSP console and place the battery lid back on.

How To Make Your Xbox 360 Wireless With a Network Adapter

The original model of the Xbox 360 console can only connect onto the internet via a wired Ethernet connection. When Microsoft manufactured it, they didnt include an integrated Wi-Fi feature like the PS3 consoles had at launch. Since many gamers out there wanted to connect their consoles wireless onto the internet, Microsoft later on released an optional Wireless network adapter kit. This is basically an external Wi-Fi antenna that you attach directly onto your console to provide it with wireless connectivity. Once installed, you can connect onto your wireless access point at home and your console will be connected onto the internet, ready for Xbox Live. If you have a slim model of the Xbox 360 the external wireless network adapter kit is not required, since it has it built in.

1) Look at the rear of your Xbox 360 console and look where the TV cable goes into. Look above it, in that area you will see two small slots. These slots are used to hold the wireless network adapter in place. So line up the tabs on the wireless network adapter with the two slots and push it in. This will lock it in place and prevent it from moving.

2) Now that the wireless network adapter is fitted onto the console, you need to connect it via USB. Look at the rear of your Xbox 360, you will find one USB port that is available. Plug in the USB plug from the wireless network adapter into the USB port found on the console.

3) Power on your Xbox 360 console. Then from the Xbox 360 dashboard go into Network Settings. Then select Configure Network >Wireless Mode > Scan For Networks. 

4) Find the wireless access point name from the list of available WI-Fi hotspots that come up onscreen on your TV. Then enter your security password for your wireless router and select Done. It will now attempt to connect onto the Wi-Fi router. If successful the led on the wireless network adapter will turn solid green.

How To Test a 9 Volt Battery On Your Tongue

An 9 volt square shaped battery is used for all sorts of small powered electronic devices, from fire alarms to kids toys. If you dont have a multimeter or a special tester tool to test your 9 volt battery, you can test it using your tongue. That way you can determine if the 9 volt battery is fully charged or completely dead, using your own judgement tactics. This is because it hasnt got enough amps and voltage to do so, so lick with full confidence!

1) Stick your tongue out of your mouth.

2) Obtain your 9 volt battery and lick the the two Positive (+) and Negative (-) terminals found on the top.

3) If you feel a little Sting and a Metallic taste on your tongue, on the area you licked it, it indicates that the battery is charged. If you feel no effect what so ever, then the battery is dead and needs replacing with a new one.

The Nokia 5233 supports a official maximum memory card size of up to 16 GB. The type of memory card that the phone supports is Micro SD. It is possible to insert a 32 GB Micro SD memory card, but the phone will become really slow to use and will hang often. When choosing a Micro SD memory card, ensure that you choose a good manufacturer like Sandisk or Kingston. Cheap unbranded memory cards have very poor performance and stop working after awhile.

1) Power off your mobile phone before proceeding any further. This is because you dont want to corrupt the data on the memory card.

2) Turn the phone upside down and remove the back battery cover. The best way to do this is to insert your finger nail at the bottom grove and gradually pull it off.

3) Once you have removed the rear battery cover, you will see a Micro SD slot located on the top right hand side.

4) Obtain your Micro SD memory card and carefully insert it into the Micro SD slot on the handset. Be careful not to put in the wrong way round or push it in forcefully. This is because it will either become stuck or will snap, so handle it with extreme care.

5) If the Micro SD memory card is inserted correctly in the slot, you will hear a click sound and it will lock in place. Now all you have to do is refit the battery cover you remove earlier on.
